Our Ceylon Breakfast Tea is grown on the a picturesque tea plantation situated in the Uva province of Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon. This tea has strong and bold flavour, with a rich, deep aroma that is both invigorating and comforting. Ceylon breakfast tea is traditionally enjoyed in the morning as a pick-me-up to start the day. This tea is a great option for those who prefer a stronger and more robust tea, as it packs a powerful punch of flavor and caffeine.

Idalgashinna Tea Estate is located at an elevation of over 4,500 feet above sea level and is known for producing some of the finest quality tea in the world. This estate was a pioneer of organic farming as it became one fo the first certified organic tea garden in the world in 1987 and became categorised as biodynamic in 1999.

The tea plantation is also fair-trade certified. The estate promotes sustainable and environmentally-friendly farming practices, and supports local communities by investing in education, healthcare and infrastructure. Organic black tea – Grade BOP Broken Orange Pekoe

BREWING SUGGESTION
1 tsp/cup ~ 100ºC ~ 2min

Place a teaspoon of tea per 240 ml cup into an infuser. Add filtered boiling water and allow to infuse for 2 minutes. Strain the tea and serve. May be enjoyed with milk and sweetener.
